The Dream Wedding Shop's Story

Hi there! My name is Penny and I am the owner of The Dream Wedding Shop. Our shop is located in rural Pennsylvania, along the southern fringe of the Pocono Mountains. We have been in business since 2013.

The Dream Wedding Shop unexpectedly evolved. It began as a sign-making hobby, but quickly turned into a business. I dabbled in the beginning with hand painted wooden sign-making, as I'd always had an interest in graphic design. Much to my surprise, our wedding signs began to sell as fast as we could make them! 

My other half, Joe, has a mind for business, and provided support and assistance as we began to grow The Dream Wedding Shop. Soon I was spending every waking minute working on designing, creating, and photographing products, learning how to run a business, communicating with customers, packaging, and shipping our wooden signs. It wasn't too long until Joe began to assist with picking up wood, cutting the signs, sanding, and occasionally the 'P' word - painting! (Joe avoided that one as much as possible!)

One evening, we designed and created our very first Glass Block Unity Sand Ceremony Set. We loved the modern, simplistic design, and realized how versatile this product could be! We added the Glass Block Unity Sand Ceremony Sets to our product line. They were a huge hit with customers, and soon the wooden signs along with the sand sets were too much to handle, as we wanted to make sure our products were getting out to our customers in a timely manner. We began taking a look at commercial equipment, and hiring employees!

Soon we upgraded our equipment, and we now do all of our lettering with high-quality permanent ink. All of the products we sell are created in our own shop, by our own employees. Our business continues to grow, and we are thankful every day for our customers, as they have given us the opportunity to make a career out of something we truly love.
